Your New Role

Working with the UK&I CEO, Director of People & Culture and the Global Head of Internal Communication, the UK&I Internal Communication Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of UK&I internal communications, campaigns, and events. You will work closely with Senior leaders across UK&I business to help ensure consistency and alignment of messages to support our key commitments, particularly people engagement.

Requirements, Skills, and Competencies:

  • The suitable candidate will have fantastic stakeholder engagement as this role requires you to collaborate closely with other UK&I teams - Marketing, Technology and Front Office Systems.

Communication Strategy

  • Support the delivery of the UK&I internal communication strategy for Hays.

Campaigns and Content

  • Help build understanding and belief in our business strategy and ensure colleagues understand the role they play in delivering it.
  • Ensure UK&I teams have a clear understanding of the big picture strategy to support the cascade of key messages.
  • Support the creation and delivery of a narrative that connects key change programmes initiatives and outcomes.
  • Deliver a programme of communication that connects colleagues to the business and engages them in the vision and values of the company.

Channels

  • Support the development of the UK&I communication channel portfolio so channels and communication are effective, engaging and fit for the future.
  • Support the development of two-way communication channels.
  • Promote the development of communication skills of leaders across the business.

Events

  • Support the development and execution of highly engaging UK&I internal events, leveraging third party support when required.

Collaboration

  • Support a strong network with the regional communication managers to ensure message alignment, sharing of best practice and efficiency.
  • Build relationships across the organisation to support long-term planning with Marketing, PR, global teams as required.

Measurement

  • Ensure all communication campaigns are evaluated against agreed objectives, outputs, and outcomes.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree level education.
  • Experience in internal communication roles.
  • Excellent, clear, and concise written communications.
  • Expertise in managing multi-channel internal communications, including intranets, e-bulletins, and events.
  • Strong change and project management skills.
  • Creative thinker.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, exercise leadership and influence change.
  • Experience in delivering best-in-class communications in complex organisations.
  • Ideally experience of operating in an international environment with appreciation of linguistic and cultural differences.

Additional Requirements

  • Some travel across UK&I may be required.
