About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Interim SENCo to join our dedicated team - a thriving and inclusive secondary school committed to supporting every student\'s learning journey. This is a critical leadership role within our pastoral and academic support structure, ideal for a qualified SENCo or an experienced teacher with a strong background in SEND who can step into the role immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Coordinate and oversee EHCPs, interventions, and support plans
- Work closely with teaching staff, support staff, parents, and external agencies
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEND provision across the school
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)
- Proven experience working with secondary-aged students with a range of SEND
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to start immediately
