We are pleased to be supporting a dynamic and forward-thinking local authority, committed to delivering exceptional services to our community. We are currently seeking an experienced and personable Interim Head of Property to join their team for a 6-month contract.

Your new role
As the Interim Head of Property, your position will be varied and will include:

  1. Lead and manage a team of 25 professionals across asset management, facilities management (FM), repairs and maintenance, and the management of a business centre.
  2. Develop and implement strategic asset management plans.
  3. Ensure the effective and efficient use of resources to meet service delivery targets.
  4. Maintain high standards of service delivery under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  5. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  6. Lead on a range of asset management, development and regeneration projects.

What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Be RICS qualified.
  2. Extensive experience in local authority and head of service roles.
  3. Excellent management and leadership skills.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills with a great attitude.
  5. Ability to stay calm and work effectively under pressure.

What you’ll get in return
This is a 6-month contract that may be extended. You’ll receive a day rate of up to £650 per day in scope of IR35. The ideal candidate would be able to start on short notice, ideally early February. You’ll be in the offices 2-3 days a week depending on meetings and other commitments, with the rest of your time spent working from home.
