Excellent opportunity to join a Local Authority in Essex as an Interim Development Director. You will play a pivotal role in driving forward key developments within the borough. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and results-driven professional to contribute to the delivery of strategic housing and regeneration projects, ensuring alignment with the council’s priorities and community needs.
Your new role
As the Interim Development Director, you will be primarily responsible for managing a residential development scheme with a focus on delivering zero carbon homes. You will oversee the project and ensure delivery is on time and within budget. As part of the role, you will work collaboratively with internal teams and foster strong relationships with developers and contractors to facilitate successful project delivery. You will manage the budget and ensure the project adheres to relevant planning, legal and environmental policies and frameworks. This is an interim contract with an expected duration of two years.
What you’ll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you should hold a relevant property related qualification and should have proven track record of delivering large-scale construction development projects, ideally within a public sector or local authority context. Flexible working is offered and you should live within commutable distance of Essex.
