They are seeking an Instrument Engineer to support the development of its next-generation technology. Backed by leading industrial partners across the aerospace and clean energy sectors, the company offers a collaborative environment focused on cutting-edge product development and continuous innovation.
Your new role involves playing a key role in supporting the development and build of complex measurement systems. This is a hands-on position offering exposure across hardware integration, system testing, and early-stage production.
Key responsibilities will include:- Supporting the design, build, and integration of hardware systems, including sensors and electronic components
- Assisting with mechanical design work using CAD tools
- Setting up and running test rigs to evaluate system performance
- Troubleshooting technical issues and analysing test data to drive improvements
- Supporting early production builds and liaising with external suppliers
- Contributing to documentation of engineering designs, processes, and test procedures
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including software engineers and physicists
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics or a similar discipline
- Some hands-on engineering experience (e.g. internships, placements, academic projects)
- A strong interest in hardware systems, testing, and engineering problem-solving
- Desirable (not essential): Experience using CAD software
- Basic programming knowledge (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
- Interest in measurement systems, sensors, or robotics
You will be naturally curious, practical in your approach, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
