We are recruiting for an experienced Information Governance Co-ordinator to join a busy Information Governance team on a 3-month temporary contract. This hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in Information Governance, Data Protection, FOI, SARs, Records Management or information administration within a public sector, housing, healthcare or regulatory environment.
You will play a key role in supporting the management of information requests, records management activities and data governance processes, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Information Governance Team with information requests, incidents and administrative activities.
- Coordinate and manage Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Subject Access Requests (SARs).
- Collate and organise information from internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Maintain records, policies, procedures, templates and governance documentation.
- Support records retention, archiving and document destruction processes.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure responses are provided within statutory timescales.
- Assist with information security and privacy management activities.
- Produce reports and management information as required.
- Build positive relationships with stakeholders to deliver a high-quality service.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within Information Governance, Data Protection, FOI or Records Management.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working to strict deadlines and managing competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
- Experience using Information Governance case management systems.
- Experience within local government, housing, healthcare or other regulated environments.
