Your new role Are you a skilled debt recovery professional looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and supportive environment? We\’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Income Officer to join the Collections & Recovery Team in Weston (2 days a month in office). This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting where your expertise will help drive financial stability and support community services.Key Responsibilities Debt Management: Oversee aged debt ledgers and ensure timely recovery across multiple debt types. Client Communication: Handle correspondence via phone, email, and post-including sensitive cases involving vulnerable individuals and estate representatives. Payment Negotiation: Initiate outbound calls to arrange payments and promote Direct Debit solutions. Referral Coordination: Liaise with external support services, debt collection agencies, and legal teams when necessary. Write-Off Processing: Prepare documentation and recommendations for debt write-offs. System Updates: Maintain accurate records. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all actions meet service level agreements and audit standards.
What you\’ll need to succeed Proven experience in debt recovery or credit control, especially outbound call handling Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Confidence and professionalism in dealing with sensitive cases Ability to work independently and meet performance targets High attention to detail and quality documentation Adaptability and a collaborative team spirit
