Your new role: As Procurement Specialist, you will manage the sourcing and procurement of goods and services. Your focus will be on delivering the best value across assigned spend categories, supporting site stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with internal standards, legislation, and sustainability requirements. You will own the end to end procurement process, from vendor sourcing and tendering through to contract execution and supplier management. Working closely with engineering, finance, and operations teams, you will support CAPEX activity, lead negotiations, and contribute to both local and group procurement initiatives.
- Managing procurement spend for assigned categories.
- Delivering projects to agreed timelines in line with site and business needs.
- Evaluating suppliers and quotations to achieve cost, quality, and service targets.
- Negotiating commercial terms and managing the local supply base.
- Managing supplier relationships and supporting issue resolution.
- Supporting benchmarking activity with Global Procurement.
- Contributing to local and group procurement projects.
- Promoting sustainability, innovation, and SHE compliance in all procurement activity.
What you'll need to succeed: To be successful, you will bring a strong background in procurement within a technical or manufacturing environment, combined with a commercial and stakeholder focused mindset.
- A diploma or degree level qualification, CIPS, MCIPS or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar procurement role within engineering or manufacturing.
- Proven CAPEX and engineering procurement experience.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to negotiate terms and conditions.
- Experience managing transactional purchasing processes.
- Good numerical skills and an understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Clear communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to work cross functionally.
- A proactive approach to sustainability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
