Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer to play a key role in the development, support and continuous improvement of our identity security capabilities.This is an excellent opportunity for an IAM specialist with strong Microsoft Entra ID expertise to join a large enterprise environment where identity, access governance and security are critical to business operations. This role is based in Cannock 4 days per week, with 1 days remote. Your new role You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation, optimisation and ongoing evolution of our IAM services, ensuring users have the right access at the right time while maintaining a strong security posture.Working closely with Infrastructure, Security and Application teams, you'll help drive IAM best practice across the organisation, improve processes, and support key identity-related projects. Key Responsibilities Administer and optimise Microsoft Entra ID and M365 identity services Manage user lifecycle processes including onboarding, role changes and offboarding Implement and maintain access controls, privileged access and identity governance processes Support enterprise application registrations, authentication and SSO integrations Monitor IAM environments, troubleshoot issues and ensure service stability Conduct access reviews, certifications and compliance reporting Collaborate with Security and IT teams to strengthen identity controls and policies Support IAM improvement initiatives and project delivery Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues on IAM best practices Essential Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) Expertise in identity life cycle management, provisioning and access control Experience managing M365 identity and privileged access controls Knowledge of Conditional Access, MFA and authentication technologies Strong understanding of IAM principles, governance and security best practices Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise IAM environments Ability to work with stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills What you'll get in return c£62,000 - £67,000 + Benefits What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
