VIVO Defence Services is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team at RAF Alconbury, playing a key role in delivering infrastructure and improvement projects across the Ministry of Defence estate. This is an opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of projects that directly support military personnel, their families, and the wider defence community. You'll take ownership from project inception through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

As Project Manager, you'll lead the successful delivery of Billable Works projects across a complex and operationally critical estate. Working closely with Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) representatives, supply chain partners, site teams and stakeholders, you'll ensure projects meet contractual, statutory and environmental requirements while delivering excellent customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, from planning to handover
  • Ensuring delivery against programme, budget, quality and compliance targets
  • Monitoring and mitigating project risks
  • Leading and coordinating contractors and supply chain partners
  • Reviewing and approving risk assessments and method statements
  • Managing project budgets and delivering value for money
  • Building strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
  • Supporting sustainability objectives, including carbon reduction initiatives
  • Maintaining project documentation and reporting through systems such as SharePoint and Maximo
  • Resolving customer issues and driving continuous improvement across project delivery

The ideal candidate will have:

Essential:

  • HNC/HND in Building, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • SMSTS or equivalent health & safety qualification
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and SharePoint
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SC Security Clearance

Desirable:

  • Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB or similar professional body
  • Experience within defence, FM or public sector environments
  • Knowledge of CAFM systems
  • Additional technical qualifications relating to asbestos, legionella or Authorised Person responsibilities
