Job Description
We have a requirement for a HSE Officer with chemical background to join an engineering company in Co Antrim. Due to growth and success they would like to add to the team.Your new roleFocusing on Chemical Process, enhancing the Health, Safety and Environmental team capabilities as we enter a period of growth.
The role will be to provide professional and technical advice to areas of the business involved in chemical use and processing, such as metal cutting, surface treatment, product preparation and coating. Responsibilities will be to address both risk and regulatory requirements relating to Health, Safety and the Environment. The key focus will be to drive improvements in chemical handling, storage, use and disposal.
Ensuring compliance with REACh Regulations and working with Customers and Suppliers to understand the future of chemical supply.Training in Nebosh can be provided for chemical engineering candidates. Standard Days (Mon-Thurs 8am-4.30pm and Friday 8am-1pm) What you'll need to succeedIdeally you will have a level 3 qualification in a relevant field such as Environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or NEBOSH, IEMA Environmental Certificate (or equivalent). 2 years manufacturing experience preferable.
