Your new company A growing food manufacturing business with operations across Northern Ireland and Great Britain is seeking an HSE Compliance Officer to join its Compliance Team. Based in County Fermanagh or County Tyrone, this role offers the opportunity to support Health, Safety and Environmental compliance across multiple manufacturing sites while contributing to sustainability, environmental performance and workplace safety initiatives. Your new role As HSE Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, internal policies and industry standards across the business. Working closely with operational teams, HR and external regulatory bodies, you will support a broad range of compliance activities spanning environmental reporting, sustainability initiatives, risk management and workplace responsibilities will include supporting ESOS and SECR reporting, assisting with science-based emissions targets, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and licences, liaising with regulatory authorities, developing safe systems of work and risk assessments, delivering training programmes and investigating incidents. You will also maintain compliance records, support corrective action programmes and help drive continuous improvement across the organisation's HSE agenda. What you'll need to succeed Degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Business, Law or a related discipline, or 3-5+ years' experience within Health & Safety, Risk Management or a similar field Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance principles Ability to identify hazards, assess risks and implement effective controls Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and professionalism Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team NEBOSH, IOSH Membership or First Aid qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential What you'll get in return Opportunity to develop a career across both Health & Safety and Environmental Compliance functions Exposure to sustainability initiatives including ESOS, SECR and Science Based Targets (SBTi) reporting Monday-Friday working hours, 9:00am-5:00pm Full training provided, including support with company procedures, systems and compliance processes Ongoing professional development opportunities, including support towards IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications 28 days annual leave Company pension with employer contributions matched up to 5% Life insurance Opportunity to work across multiple sites and contribute to the wider HSE strategy of a growing manufacturing business What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
