Your new company
You'll be joining a large, well‑established organisation within a fast paced, multi‑site environment. You'll be part of a collaborative HR function that is striving to raise standards, support the business through transformation, and act as a true partner to leaders across operations.
Your new role
As HR Business Partner, you'll balance strategic contribution with hands-on HR delivery, working closely with senior leaders to embed the people strategy and support the organisation's objectives. You will:
- Build strong, influential relationships with managers and leaders across your business areas
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on HR policy, best practice and risk management
- Lead complex and high profile employee relations cases through to conclusion
- Partner on organisational change, restructuring and TUPE processes
- Drive culture and engagement initiatives, supporting wellbeing and retention
- Support recruitment, role design, reward benchmarking and talent planning
- Coach and develop managers in effective people management
- Contribute to HR projects including training programmes, HRIS developments, and reporting cycles
- Analyse people data and produce meaningful insights to support decision making
- Champion continuous improvement across the HR function

What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 5 years' generalist HR experience, ideally in a unionised or complex environment
- CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent)
- Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law, HR policy and best practice
- A commercial mindset with the ability to balance risk, cost and business impact
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Ability to analyse data and use insight to drive outcomes
- Strong organisational and project management capability
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal confidently with sensitive situations
- Flexibility to travel to other UK sites with occasional overnight stays
- (Desirable) Experience in Retail, Distribution, Logistics or Manufacturing
- (Desirable) Exposure to HRIS systems such as Dayforce or Workday
