HR Assistant

Your new company

An SME Underwriter are expanding their HR team by hiring a new, permanent HR Assistant. Reporting directly into the Head of HR, you will gain an extreme variety of experience, supporting on the entire employee lifecycle. You will be specifically responsible for:

• Act as a point of contact for all employees across the business, managing and answering any HR queries that come through.
• Prepare, handle, and issue all onboarding and offboarding documentation/processes (offer letters, contracts, exit letters and calculations of annual leave).
• Manage the Learning and Development training administration, ensuring staff are attending the correct courses.
• Assist the Head of HR in the recruitment process, organising interviews when needed and sharing the correct documentation.
• Administering staff benefits, programs, and events.
• Provide a general administrative service for the HR team including office equipment and induction lunches.
• Assist with various HR project work and new initiatives when required.

What you\’ll need to succeed

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as an HR Assistant in the UK.

• Knowledge and understanding of UK Employment Law.

• Exposure to the full employee lifecycle, with excellent attention to detail.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work under pressure.

• Be a professional, proactive and honest individual, able to maintain the confidentiality of HR information.
