Hays is working with an Academy based in Bradford for the temporary recruitment of an HR Generalist to deliver an effective and efficient HR service, coordinating HR and recruitment activities, and managing HR Administration colleagues.

Support the implementation of the Trust's HR policies, leadership development, and HR strategy aligned with school improvement priorities.

  • HR Policy Implementation: Manage ER casework, liaise with trade unions, and escalate cases as needed.
  • HR Advisory: Coach and advise leadership and middle leaders on HR processes.
  • Recruitment Management: Oversee recruitment procedures, onboarding processes, and ensure compliance with safer recruitment legislation.
  • HR Service Delivery: Ensure robust processes and systems for accuracy and compliance with employment legislation.
  • Employee Wellbeing: Support attendance and wellbeing activities, manage OH referrals.
  • HR Reporting: Produce reports with key HR data and metrics for senior leadership.
  • HR Correspondence: Issue high-quality HR correspondence related to casework.
  • Training Coordination: Oversee HR and safeguarding training delivery.
  • Line Management: Manage HR Administrator, including performance reviews.
  • Team Participation: Participate in regular meetings, training, and continuous improvement of processes.
  • Compliance: Adhere to policies on equal opportunities, child protection, health and safety, security, and confidentiality.

HR advisory experience, including proven experience managing ER casework and handling competing priorities. HR improvement projects, using HR and payroll systems. Experience working in education or local government with HR processes would be desirable. Employment legislation, KCSIE and Safer Recruitment practices, safeguarding children and young people.

This role will require you to undertake a DBS check and full compliance and a start date ASAP.
