Housing Support Worker – Kent/Canterbury – Nacro
Your new company
Nacro is an organisation that has the development and support of their service users’ independence at the forefront of everything they do. If you are passionate about helping others and are looking to develop your career in support work, this is the role for you!Nacro are recruiting within their team in Kent/Canterbury on a temporary, long-term basis to appoint a new Housing Support Worker to support their service users on a shift rota basis, working 35 hours a week between 8:00-22:00
Your new role
This role is based in Kent/Canterbury. You will meet with service users to discuss support needs and how you can help them to meet their objectives. You will also be required to complete Support and Safety Plans and work with Community Probation Practitioners and Court Staff to best support their service users. You will also need to be able to help our Service Users with applying for Housing Benefits and paying rent. All of Nacro’s properties are required to meet the Decent Homes Standard and to do that you will need good attention to detail to ensure that houses are clean, tidy and all repairs are reported and actioned.

You will be required to have a passion for supporting and helping others, as well as previous experience in a similar role. In addition to this, you will need to be able to demonstrate resilience, emotional intelligence, teamwork and prioritisation skills.This role requires drivers who have access to their own vehicle with business insurance.
What you’ll get in return
This role is a long-term temporary position with the opportunity to apply for permanent roles in the future. You will also receive weekly pay at a rate of £14.75 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
