Are you passionate about social justice and housing? Do you have a background in the Social Housing sector as a Housing Officer? If so, we have an opportunity for you! We are currently supporting a local Housing Association with their recruitment of a temporary Housing Support Worker. This role is on a temporary basis and is a full-time opportunity.

Your new role
We are seeking a Housing Support Worker in Stoke-on-Trent on a temporary basis of around 3 months. However, this could be extended for the right candidate. The main focus of this role is to provide support to residents and tenants by creating and following person-centred support plans. You will meet with residents, discuss support needs and how you can support them to meet their objectives; complete Support and Safety Plans, signposting customers to services and liaising with both internal and external bodies. You will also be providing help and support to residents with any housing and benefit-related queries.

What you\’ll need to succeed
Due to the nature of this role, candidates with experience in social housing and knowledge of Support Planning and welfare benefits/universal credit, will have an advantage in terms of transferrable skills. The role is subject to Enhanced Adult DBS. If you already have this level of DBS on the update service, please let us know upon registration. Furthermore, due to the nature of this role, you must also have a full UK driving licence.
