Job Description

Your new company

You will be part of a Gold Investors in People (IiP) organisation which works together with local people to create great value services and an outstanding community, economy and environment in which people want to live, work, visit and enjoy now, and for future generations.
With our wide range of health and wellbeing benefits, our highly flexible and collaborative hybrid Work Smart working arrangements as well as our commitment to continuous learning and development, you can be confident of joining a dedicated community of colleagues who are happy, healthy and here.

Your new role
Housing Officer-Estate Management (Temporary)

Full-time, Fixed Term for 3 months

As a Housing Officer in an Estates Management Team, you'll be responsible for delivering a comprehensive and proactive estate management service to tenants, their families and the community.

In this interesting and varied role, you'll work directly with tenants providing support to ensure they adhere to the terms of their tenancy agreement and investigate issues as they arise. You'll also carry out a full range of Estate Management tasks, including inspections, visits, meetings, and partnership work.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll have a good standard of education and ideally a Level 3 qualification in housing or relevant experience, or will work toward achieving this.
You will also have knowledge of the current issues being faced in housing and local government.
Working with people is a key focus for this role, so, as well as being a confident communicator and highly organised, you will have good IT skills and an eye for detail.
Importantly, you will be able to effectively prioritise your own workload and remain calm under pressure.
You must be able to work on your own initiative as well as work effectively as part of a team and will often be working in a busy office environment.
A driving licence is essential for this role, as you'll need to travel as required (reasonable adjustments may be possible according to the Equality Act).
What you'll get in return

  • Support of a dedicated Hays consultant
  • Free training and development
  • Onsite training by the site manager
  • Pension contributions of up to 3%
  • CV writing
  • Refer a Friend Scheme
