We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer for a 3-month temporary assignment within the Scottish Borders area. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) based primarily in Selkirk, with travel to tenants' homes and properties across the Central Borders.
Your new role:
- Managing rent arrears and supporting tenants with payment plans.
- Handling housing allocations and lettings processes.
- Overseeing tenant and estate management, ensuring properties and communities are well maintained.
- Using housing management software to maintain accurate records and case notes.
Hours: 8:45 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch break).
Location: Office-based in Selkirk with regular property visits.
Mileage: Paid for travel between Selkirk and tenant properties during duties.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Previous experience in housing management.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to pass a Disclosure check.
