Housing Advisor required on an ongoing temporary contract basis by the NI Housing Executive
Your new company
The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, to recruit a Housing Advisor to work from their offices in Belfast city centre on an ongoing temporary contract basis.
Working within the Housing Solutions department, you will provide housing advice and assistance to people who often have complex needs or are facing difficult circumstances with a focus on preventing homelessness.
Your new role
Your main duties will comprise the integrated areas of housing advice, assistance, tenancy sustainment, homeless prevention, homeless assistance and case management. This is summarised under the following headings:
Understand me and what I need;Understand my application situation;Address my immediate needs;Active case management to find Housing Solutions;Understand if I need to leave at all;House me;Support Me;Advice & signposting.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must have:
A degree (or equivalent qualification) with a minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience, or;A B-Tech Higher (or equivalent qualification) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or;Exceptionally, candidates not having the above level of qualification but who have 3 years relevant experience will also be considered.
