Project: Major Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Scheme The Opportunity An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major infrastructure project at Heathrow Airport.
You will be responsible for managing the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of a key package of works, leading a team of engineers and supervisors to ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Working in a live operational airport environment, you will play a key role in coordinating civil, structural, enabling, and infrastructure works while maintaining close collaboration with stakeholders and project teams.
Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of civil and structural works, ensuring safety, quality, programme, and budget objectives are achieved.
Manage short-term planning and sequencing of works in line with the overall project programme.
Coordinate day and night shift activities to maximise productivity and programme performance.
Ensure all permits, RAMS, QA documentation, and compliance requirements are in place.
Monitor package performance, proactively managing risks, opportunities, and costs.
Support, coach, and develop engineers and supervisors within the team.
Champion health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all activities.
Drive continuous improvement, productivity, and best practice throughout project delivery.
Requirements Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience delivering civils, groundworks, structural steel, or infrastructure projects.
Strong package management experience, including planning, reporting, and budget control.
Knowledge of NEC contracts.
Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
Desirable Previous Heathrow Airport or live operational infrastructure experience.
Knowledge of architectural fit-out, M&E, or systems installation.
Experience using Auto CAD, Civil 3D, BIM 360, or similar engineering software.
Qualifications CSCS Card SMSTS Full UK Driving Licence Security Requirements Due to Heathrow Airport security requirements, candidates must: Be eligible to obtain an Airside Pass.
