Your new company is a charitable organisation located in the North Down area where you will be based at a large single site. Our client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their estates management division on a temporary basis. The role will be responsible for leading the organisation's health and safety function across a large diverse single site. While initially offered on a temporary basis, there is a long-term requirement for this position and the successful candidate may have the opportunity to be considered for future permanent opportunities. Applications are welcomed from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Leading risk assessment and risk management activities
  • Investigating incidents and monitoring corrective actions
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Managing audits, inspections and regulatory visits
  • Developing emergency response and business continuity plans
  • Delivering Health & Safety training and awareness initiatives
  • Providing expert advice to managers and staff

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' Health & Safety experience
  • Experience leading teams
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Full driving licence and access to transport
