Your new company An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Officer to join a well-established Housing Association in the Highlands on a temporary basis. Based within the Income Team, this role offers the chance to make a real difference by supporting tenants and helping to sustain successful tenancies across a diverse housing portfolio. This is an immediate requirement, with the assignment expected to run until at least October, with strong potential for extension. Your new role Managing a patch of tenants and providing a high-quality housing management service. Supporting tenants with rent accounts and maximising income collection. Monitoring rent arrears and taking appropriate action in line with policies and procedures. Advising tenants on payment options, benefits, and financial support available. Building positive relationships with tenants and delivering excellent customer service. Working closely with internal teams and external agencies to sustain tenancies and achieve positive outcomes. Maintaining accurate records and case files. Ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation and best practice. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience within a Housing Officer, Income Officer, Tenancy Officer or similar social housing role. Experience managing rent arrears, tenancy-related issues, or income recovery caseloads. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively. Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
