Job Description
An established and growing multi-academy education trust is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to oversee safety compliance and strategy across multiple school sites. This is a pivotal role, supporting both existing schools and those joining the trust as part of its expansion plan.
As the trust transitions from site-level autonomy to a more centralised and professional approach to health and safety, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape and embed best practice across a diverse and evolving organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of the trust-wide Health & Safety strategy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to school leadership teams and central staff.
- Conduct risk assessments and site audits, and deliver H&S training.
- Promote a proactive safety culture that supports a positive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
- Proven experience in a health & safety role, ideally within education, public sector, or multi-site environments.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confident in using digital tools and systems to manage H&S processes.
- Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to change.
