Your new company: My client is a leading non-profit organisation with an exceptional reputation for providing quality homes and excellent community services across Kent. Due to progression in the team, we are partnering to recruit the permanent role of Head of Communications & Marketing to work hybrid from their offices in Kent.

Your new role: As Head of Function, you will lead the Communications team in all areas of Marketing, Internal, External and Crisis Communications. This includes website management, cultivation of corporate branding, PR & Media, overseeing award entries and large-scale events, internal engagement with both employees and residents, and building key external relationships. As a senior leader, you will be business partnering with key stakeholders to support strategic objectives and ensure that their voice is clear, consistent, and compelling, both internally and externally. You will create a plan to ensure communications campaigns align and are communicating the key messages and values of the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed: You will utilise your significant experience in a senior communications or marketing leadership role within a complex organisation, ideally with experience within housing or a similar environment. You will need strong crisis communications and media handling experience, a deep understanding of digital communications and audience engagement, and be able to play a leading role in designing and configuring website/intranet systems. As a senior leader, you will possess team management experience, strong communications skills and the ability to build relationships with and manage key stakeholders, both internally and externally. The ability to build rapport, collaborate and influence people at all levels of the organisation is paramount, and a strength in public speaking would be helpful.
