A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to provide leadership across a major enterprise transformation programme, with an emphasis on programme governance, delivery assurance, financial control, executive reporting, and partner alignment
- Initial contract until the end of 2026

- Based in Hatfield (Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead programme governance, controls, reporting, and assurance activities across a large-scale transformation programme.
- Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks, delivery forums, reporting structures, and decision-making processes.
- Drive programme planning, RAID management, dependency tracking, milestone management, and benefits realisation.
- Support executive and board-level reporting, steering committee preparation, and governance reviews.
- Act as a key interface between internal teams and external delivery partners, ensuring alignment of plans, priorities, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Manage programme budgets, forecasting, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting.
- Provide oversight of programme risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and compliance requirements.
- Support resource planning, capacity management, and PMO best practice adoption across multiple workstreams.
- Challenge delivery plans and assumptions where required, driving transparency and accountability throughout the programme.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Programme Manager, Senior PMO Lead, or Programme Governance Lead within large-scale business or technology transformation programmes.
- Strong background in programme governance, controls, delivery assurance, executive reporting, and stakeholder management.
- Experience managing complex interdependencies across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and programme financial control.
- Experience working alongside major consulting or systems integration partners.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with: Microsoft Project, Microsoft Copilot Jira & Confluence,
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within regulated or highly governed environments.
- Experience supporting SAP-enabled transformation programmes.
- Exposure to ERP, finance, supply chain, HR, data, analytics, or enterprise process transformation initiatives.
- Professional certifications - MSP, PRINCE2, PMP, APM, Agile PM, or equivalent.
- Experience operating in hybrid Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
