Overview

In this role you will lead Sea Change Sussex’s commercial property activity, shaping a portfolio of offices, business parks and development sites. You will work with senior leaders to deliver the property strategy, report to the board, and drive growth through lettings, sales and landlord-tenant management. You will support the development agenda and ensure high standards of service, compliance and financial performance. This is a senior, strategically-focused role with hybrid working and a weekly on-site presence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee commercial lettings and sales across the portfolio, coordinating with agents and solicitors to maximise returns.
  • Manage property service charges, rental income, and liaise with Facilities Manager on maintenance and compliance.
  • Lead landlord and tenant activities, including Green Leases, MEES compliance, lease renewals, rent reviews and dispute resolution.
  • Support the Development Team on property development and planning issues for strategic land projects.
  • Collaborate with Facilities Manager, Finance Director and Development/New Business Directors to optimise portfolio value and identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare and present board reports as required.

Key requirements

  • MRICS qualified
  • strong commercial property experience including landlord and tenant matters, sales, lettings and development land
  • client-side property experience preferred
  • ability to manage workloads independently and support delivery of asset strategies and development projects
  • experience of flexible workspace management is advantageous
  • excellent stakeholder management, board reporting, commercial acumen, numeracy and written communication skills
