In this role you will organise domestic and international shipments of satellite components, ground equipment, and support materials, select and manage relationships with specialist couriers and freight forwarders, monitor transit timelines and ensure secure handling of sensitive payloads. This will include managing all shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export control paperwork; ensuring compliance with UK customs regulations and working within the Compliance Team to ensure full compliance with all UK Export Control (SPIRE & LITE), and relevant ITAR/EAR requirements; liaison with customs brokers and government bodies as required.

You will also evaluate shipping and logistics processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and cost control, and maintain relationships with logistics providers to support agile project delivery.

You will already be proven in a Shipping / Logistics role, ideally within High-Tech Manufacturing, Aerospace or Defence. You will be familiar with UK customs, export control (SPIRE), and international freight regulations. Experience of ITAR and EAR is a definite advantage but not essential, as support and training can be provided. You will have experience of ERP and inventory systems (SAPS/4HANA Business systems an advantage), and will be confident with Microsoft Excel and shipment tracking platforms.
