The Opportunity
A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced MEICA Engineer to support the successful delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects within the Thames Water region.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team, you will play a key role in delivering AMP8 projects, from design and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover.
This position offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile projects that will help shape the future of the UK's water infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver MEICA aspects of water and wastewater capital projects.
- Support project delivery from concept, design and procurement through to commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, ICA and Civil engineering activities.
- Review technical specifications, drawings and contractor submissions.
- Support site installation, testing and commissioning activities.
- Liaise with clients, operational teams, designers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor progress, identify risks and support programme delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Produce technical documentation, reports and commissioning records.
- Candidate Requirements Essential
- Previous experience as a MEICA Engineer, Project Engineer, EICA Engineer or EC&I Engineer within the water industry.
- Experience delivering clean water or wastewater treatment projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
- Knowledge of project life cycle delivery, commissioning and handover processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience working on Thames Water frameworks.
- Thames Water Passport.
- CSCS Card.
- SMSTS
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards accreditation.
