As an Accounts Senior / Assistant Manager, you will take responsibility for reviewing year-end accounts and corporation tax returns, supporting junior team members and managing workflows to ensure client deadlines are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns prepared by junior staff
- Liaising with clients to resolve accounts and tax queries
- Providing general accounting and software support to clients
- Managing workflow planning and ensuring assignments are completed efficiently
- Supporting ad hoc client projects
- Contributing to process improvements and best practice initiatives
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
What you'll need to succeed:
- ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified
- At least 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong accounts preparation and corporation tax knowledge
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and client relationship-building abilities
- High attention to detail
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
