Whitchurch | ?? £35,000 | ?? 12-Month Fixed Term ContractUrgent requirement - immediate interviews availableI am recruiting a Transport Assistant to join a busy sales and logistics operation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same, supporting the movement of products from production through to customer delivery while ensuring stock, transport and customer orders are managed efficiently.
This position would suit someone with strong administration skills, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to coordinate with customers, transport providers and internal teams.
What you'll be doing:
Taking and processing customer ordersMaintaining daily sales and transport plansArranging deliveries using both in-house drivers and external hauliersLiaising with production, operations and warehouse teamsManaging stock information and reportingProducing invoices and transport documentationMonitoring deliveries and resolving any supply issuesUpdating spreadsheets and maintaining accurate recordsWhat we're looking for: Strong administration and organisational skillsGood Excel and Microsoft Office knowledgeExcellent communication skillsAbility to prioritise work in a fast-moving environmentPrevious logistics, transport, supply chain, planning or sales administration experience would be advantageousWhat's in it for you?
