Your new role

As a Welder (PG3), you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds in line with approved welding procedures and manufacturing instructions, contributing directly to the construction and completion of complex engineering projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out welding activities in accordance with approved welding procedures
  • Interpreting manufacturing instructions and technical documentation
  • Ensuring all work is completed to required quality standards and tolerances
  • Demonstrating strong hand skills and precision in all welding processes
  • Maintaining strict adherence to SHE (Safety, Health & Environmental) standards and risk awareness
  • Working closely with supervisors and other trades to support production targets
  • Assisting in problem-solving activities on the shop floor
  • Adapting to changes in drawings, technologies, and working practices
  • Supporting and coaching apprentices where required.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Practical welding experience supported by relevant on-the-job and/or classroom training
  • Strong understanding of welding procedures, manufacturing instructions, and processes
