VAT Manager - Flexible Working in Glasgow

Your new role As a Manager, you will work closely with the VAT Partners and Directors as a key member of the team in Scotland. Your responsibilities will include managing a client portfolio with significant client responsibility, overseeing your team's portfolios, and delivering high-quality VAT consultancy services. You will also support, develop, and review the work of junior team members and graduates, and collaborate with other areas of the business, such as Direct Tax, Employment Tax, and Business Advisory teams. Additional duties will arise as needed to support local partners. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive VAT experience, whether in accountancy firms, industry, or HMRC. You should be self-sufficient with minimal input from senior staff, take proactive responsibility for managing clients and work, and handle your own portfolio, including more complex or higher-risk clients. You should also have experience in project and staff management, the ability to manage a client portfolio profitably, and experience dealing with senior client management and HMRC.
