Your new company is a forward-thinking public sector organisation seeking an experienced Strategic Investment Partnerships Advisor to drive major regeneration and investment programmes. Your new role involves leading the development and delivery of a commercially focused investment strategy, designed to attract significant private sector funding and accelerate regeneration initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and promoting a compelling investment strategy and prospectus to attract domestic and international investors
  • Structuring innovative funding models, including public-private partnerships, joint ventures and refinancing solutions
  • Leading on negotiations with institutional investors, developers and funding partners
  • Providing expert commercial and financial advice to senior stakeholders on investment opportunities, risk and governance
  • Building and maintaining high-level relationships across government, business and investor networks
  • Supporting the development of long-term regeneration and place strategies
  • Representing the organisation at investment forums, events and stakeholder engagements
  • Contributing to policy discussions and aligning investment strategies with national and regional priorities

What you'll need to succeed:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience: Proven track record in developing and delivering investment or commercial strategies; Experience securing significant private sector investment (typically £50m+); Strong background in financial structuring, PPPs, or complex funding arrangements; Experience working with investors, financial institutions, or within a corporate finance environment; Demonstrable success in managing senior stakeholder relationships and negotiating complex deals; Experience developing business cases, investment propositions and funding submissions.
  • Knowledge & Skills: Strong commercial acumen with expertise in investment strategy and financial modelling; Deep understanding of regeneration, economic development and inward investment; Knowledge of national policy, funding mechanisms and market conditions; Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills; Ability to translate strategic priorities into investable opportunities; Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
  • Qualifications: Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Finance, Economics, Real Estate or related); Professional or postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
