Quality Control Engineer / Quality Assurance Coordinator Defence Infrastructure Project | Hybrid Working Location: Glasgow / Faslane Area (Hybrid Working Available)Salary: 45,000 - 60,000 DOE Benefits The Opportunity A leading contractor delivering a major long-term defence infrastructure programme is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Control professional to support the successful delivery of complex mechanical and electrical installations. Working closely with project teams, site management, clients and subcontractors, you'll play a key role in ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, industry standards and stringent quality requirements expected within a highly regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Implement and maintain project quality management procedures. Review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation and commissioning records. Conduct site inspections and audits across mechanical and electrical installations. Monitor workmanship standards and ensure compliance with specifications and drawings. Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions. Support compilation of handover and quality assurance documentation. Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and client representatives. Participate in quality meetings and provide regular reporting on quality performance. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and project-specific quality requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery teams. Requirements Previous experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Inspection role within M&E, Building Services, Construction, Defence, Energy or Infrastructure sectors. Understanding of mechanical and electrical installations. Experience managing QA documentation and quality systems. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management processes. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proficient in document control and reporting systems. Full UK driving licence. Desirable Defence, MOD, nuclear or highly regulated industry experience. Internal Auditor qualification. HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification. Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
