Your new role

The opportunity would suit either an experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Manager, or someone with the relevant background, looking to take their next career step. As a Procurement and Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for managing a small team and delivering subcontract and materials procurement as well as vendor performance and relationship management. You will work closely with the Senior Supply Chain Manager and functional leads, to identify and ensure that subcontracts and materials are delivered on time, within budget and meet the required specifications. You will also be responsible for identifying the most appropriate procurement strategies and mitigating risks related to the supply chain function. My client would also consider candidates on a long-term interim basis.

What you'll need to succeed

  • CIPs level 4 or working towards.
  • Previous experience in procurement and supply chain management, within a construction or infrastructure delivery environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the construction supply chain in the Scottish Central Belt.
  • A good working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC4 would be advantageous).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes that support business goals and objectives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
