Your new role
As Practice Manager, you will take a key leadership position within the firm, overseeing the delivery of high-quality client services while supporting the ongoing growth of the practice. This will be a varied role combining technical expertise, team leadership, client relationship management and strategic business development. Working closely with the firm's directors, you will play a central role in managing a portfolio of clients, reviewing accounts preparation work and providing expert tax advice. A strong understanding of personal and corporate taxation will be essential, alongside specialist knowledge of Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax planning. You will be confident advising clients on complex tax matters, identifying tax-efficient strategies and delivering commercially focused solutions.
Beyond the technical aspects of the role, you will bring an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine desire to contribute to the growth of the business. What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced accounting professional with a strong background within public practice. You will possess excellent technical knowledge across accounts preparation and taxation, with particular expertise in Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and wider tax planning matters. You may be ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified, although qualified by experience candidates with the relevant technical capabilities will also be considered. Strong leadership skills, commercial awareness and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients are essential. The ideal candidate will enjoy working within a smaller, close-knit environment where they can make a visible impact. You will be proactive, driven and motivated by the opportunity to help shape the future direction of a growing practice.
