Our client manufactures a range of advanced equipment, accessories and consumables used in processing a wide variety of materials. Their principal customers are in the electronics and semiconductor industries, universities and research organisations around the world. The majority of their sales are exports and most of their revenue entails the shipment of physical goods. Sales to UK and Western European customers are largely transported by road, but the majority of other consignments, principally to Asia and North America, are made by air.
As a Material Handler, you will efficiently move, store, and manage critical materials across the manufacturing facility. You'll support precision engineering operations by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of raw materials and components to production lines. You'll act as a vital link between incoming shipments, inventory systems, and downstream manufacturing teams.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Experience in material handling, warehousing, or manufacturing - ideally within precision or high-tech environments.
- Certified forklift truck operation (or willing to train).
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and accurate record-keeping.
- Proficient with inventory systems and basic IT/computer use.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy loads.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- A driving licence is required for this role too.
What you'll get in return:
- This is a permanent opportunity with an hourly rate of 15.69, working Monday - Thursday from 0730-1715 with the opportunity for overtime on a Friday.
