An established community‑focused Housing Association in West Glasgow is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join the team on a 6‑month temporary contract. This role plays a key part in ensuring the delivery of a high‑quality repairs and maintenance service to tenants across the Association's housing stock.

Your New Role

  • Manage day‑to‑day reactive repairs, ensuring works are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Carry out property inspections, post‑inspections and diagnose required works
  • Support delivery of cyclical and planned maintenance programmes
  • Liaise with contractors, tenants and internal teams to ensure a smooth and customer‑focused service
  • Monitor contractor performance, costs and compliance with service standards
  • Maintain accurate records using the Association's housing/repairs systems
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant health & safety, statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with void inspections and ensuring properties are prepared for re‑let

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in a similar role within a housing association or local authority
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, repairs diagnosis and contractor management
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer‑focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
