About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our fast-paced, multi-functional control room team. This role involves handling a variety of critical and sensitive calls, ensuring prompt and effective responses to a wide range of situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to Telecare alarm activations and providing reassurance and support to vulnerable individuals.
- Handling Anti-Social Behaviour reports and escalating appropriately.
- Managing Out of Hours (OOH) support lines for housing repairs and homeless presentations.
- Monitoring CCTV systems and responding to incidents in real-time.
- Receiving and processing fire and intruder alarm activations from residential and commercial properties.
- Liaising with council wardens, emergency services, and external contractors to coordinate timely interventions.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Experience in a call handling, emergency response, or control room environment is desirable.
- Familiarity with housing services, community safety, or Telecare systems is an advantage.
- IT literate with the ability to learn bespoke systems quickly.
