Your new company An ambitious and growing professional services firm is seeking an experienced Audit Director and Responsible Individual (RI) to join its senior leadership team. Your new role As Audit Director and Responsible Individual, you will take overall responsibility for a significant portfolio of audit clients, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, technical quality and regulatory compliance. You will act as the signing Responsible Individual, leading audit engagements from planning through to completion while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Alongside managing and developing client relationships, you will play an active role in the strategic growth of the audit practice. This will include identifying new business opportunities, supporting business development activity and working closely with partners and senior leadership to drive the continued success of the service line. The role also offers the opportunity to mentor and develop high-performing audit professionals, helping to shape the next generation of leaders within the business. What you'll need to succeed You will be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or ICAS) with significant audit experience gained within a professional practice environment. Existing Responsible Individual status is essential, alongside a strong technical background and proven experience managing complex audit assignments and client portfolios. You will be a commercially minded leader with excellent relationship management skills and a genuine passion for developing people. Experience of leading teams, driving business development initiatives and contributing to wider strategic objectives will be highly valued.
