Your new role: The Company is seeking to appoint a competent and experienced Transport Coordinator. The role involves day-to-day interactions with drivers (heavy haulage Artics) and their customers taking orders and processing jobs. Applicants must be computer-literate, able to motivate themselves and the team, and drum up work from our existing client base. This role is ideally suited to an individual with a keen interest in transport and distribution who can demonstrate a proven record of effective and efficient transport knowledge.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK with knowledge and understanding of Driver's Working Time Regulations and Driver's CPC legislation.
- An effective team player with excellent organisational skills.
- Good IT skills and exposure to route planning software or equivalent.
- Transport-related experience preferred.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear understanding of the priorities of organising and running commercial traffic, a keen eye for detail and accuracy, the ability to learn quickly, professional confidence and clear communication skills, together with a familiarity with common computer packages, i.e. Microsoft Office or equivalent.
