We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Geography Teacher to join a team at a Secondary School in the South Tyneside Area. The job is full-time and will commence in September 2024.
For this vacancy, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Geography lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. You will be required to develop and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that encourage student participation and promote the study of Geography.

As a Geography Teacher, you will be expected to have a thorough understanding of the Geography curriculum and be able to effectively communicate key concepts to students of all abilities. You will also be responsible for tracking student progress and providing feedback to parents and senior management.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality Geography lessons, be passionate about teaching and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Your new role
– Delivering engaging and interactive Geography lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4- Developing schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the Geography curriculum
– Tracking student progress and providing feedback to parents and senior management
– Developing strong relationships with students, colleagues and parents
– Participating in departmental meetings and school events
– Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students at all times
