Hays are working with a leading facilities management organisation supporting critical UK infrastructure, and we are looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to join their team in Catterick. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied and impactful role, working across a key estate where safety, compliance, and service delivery are paramount.
The Role
As a Mobile M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and ensuring compliance across multiple sites. You will play a key role in maintaining safe systems of work and supporting operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work (including JSP375)
- Producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Providing technical support to site teams, stakeholders, and supply chain partners
- Supervising and assessing skilled personnel
- Supporting project delivery and identifying improvement opportunities
- Advising on estate safety, compliance, and operational best practice
- Building strong working relationships across teams and stakeholders
You will also contribute to initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and supporting sustainability targets.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Strong experience working with Safe Systems of Work (JSP375 desirable)
- Proven experience supervising site operations and leading teams
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- The ability to work independently across multiple locations
- A full UK driving licence
- Desirable (but not essential): Authorised Person (AP) tickets (training can be provided)
Please note: You will be required to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.
