Innovative BioTech Business are looking for a Financial Controller to lead UK finance operations.

A highly innovative BioTech is looking for a Financial Controller to own UK operations in London. The business is revenue-generating and has recently conducted a finance raise, so they are in a strong finance position. Following UK expansion, this is an important strategic hire with the aim of growing UK operations.

Your new role

Reporting to the CFO and UK MD, a dynamic professional from an SME and corporate background would be a good blend. This role involves full ownership of finance processes and building the team as the company grows.

Duties include:

  • Full financial reporting responsibility
  • Management of financial team and hiring to develop it
  • Working with external bodies and suppliers including tax advisors and auditors - R&D tax is an important part of the role
  • Strategic input with ops function and working closely with UK MD
  • Highly dynamic growth environment

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be passionate about working in a scale-up business that has really found its place and is now building working agreements with some large pharma. This role would suit someone passionate about process improvement, team building, and the Biotech sector.
