We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed services organisation to appoint a Group Finance Director. This is a pivotal, value-creation leadership role rather than a traditional reporting-led finance position. The successful candidate will play a central part in driving commercial, operational, and strategic performance, while engaging directly with the Board and investors.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused appointment suited to an individual who thrives in PE-backed, fast-paced, transformative environments with ongoing M&A and an exit event on the horizon. This appointment is centred on value creation, financial leadership, and investor confidence.
The Group Finance Director will focus on:
- Driving commercial outcomes and enterprise value
- Strong cash, covenant, and banking management
- Delivering buy-and-build M&A activity
- Leading integration and transformation programmes
- Leading the finance function through a period of significant growth, M&A, and value creation
- Operating as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board, and private equity investors
- Driving cash management, liquidity, covenant compliance, and banking relationships
- Leading the execution and integration of acquisitions within a buy-and-build strategy
- Overseeing finance transformation, including ERP, BI, and reporting enhancements
- Providing high-quality Board and investor reporting, insight, and challenge
- Building a scalable finance team suited to a high-growth, PE-backed environment
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Proven experience as CFO or Finance Director within a PE-backed or investor-led organisation
- Hands-on experience delivering an exit or major investment milestone
- Strong track record in cash management, banking, and covenant oversight
- Demonstrable success delivering finance systems / ERP / BI transformation
