Finance Business Partner/Management Accountant – 14 Months Fixed Term – Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire – Hays

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and rapidly growing group based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire to recruit a dynamic, experienced and hands-on Finance Business Partner/Management Accountant for a 14-month fixed-term contract. Working within a global business in an interesting sector, this role is an important bridge between finance, management and other areas of the business. The main thrust of the role is to work with the operations to ensure that projects are financially and commercially robust.
Your new role
Key duties will involve ensuring projects are financially and commercially robust. Making sure all income and costs are captured and reported. You will play a key part in helping the business to understand key areas of financial focus such as customer profitability and margin analysis, along with providing finance support to sales on complex bid submissions. You will support the production of high-quality P&L and cash flow forecasts, including management account preparation and related reporting. Provide financial information to challenge operational management, building partnerships with all senior management to support important commercial decision-making. You will present financial performance, forecasts, budgets and analyse risks/opportunities, along with assisting the Financial Controller with year-end audit for all entities within the Group. You will provide support to the Accounts Assistant and delegate/supervise their workload, along with being involved in process/systems improvements.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this hands-on Finance Business Partner/Management Accounting role, you will need experience within a similar position, able to work within a small and dynamic team, with strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships at all levels, and with non-financial management. You will have strong attention to detail, key analytical skills, with an eagerness to learn and adapt to business requirements. You will be motivated to make a difference with a proactive and hands-on working approach. Ideally, you will be part-qualified/qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience. Experience with Sage 50, supervising others within the team, and international business will be advantageous but not essential.
