This logistics company provides logistics services including road and rail transport, warehousing, and terminal management across Scotland and has been established for a number of years and works with some very prestigious clients in the industry. The Company provides integrated third-party logistics solutions including bonded and non-bonded warehousing and supply chain management to a number of blue-chip customers across Scotland and England.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective management of all physical stock control processes and procedures for all customer stocks held on site. In addition, the Warehouse Supervisor must ensure Health & Safety compliance as part of working routines alongside a fully flexible workforce working to deliver all agreed daily operational targets.
- Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a team of Warehouse FLT Operatives.
- Ensure that the warehouse operation runs to agreed resource levels to meet daily requirements.
- Ensure that stock is moved, managed and despatched in accordance with customer standards.
This is a nightshift position, working Monday-Thursday from 1800-0600.
Candidates would be required to manage a team of 6 Fork Lift Drivers and a licence is not necessary. Experience of managing teams and ideally within a logistics company.
A salary of £35,000 plus a shift allowance with reasonable flexibility is expected in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak operational periods. This is an excellent opportunity to join a very successful and well-known business.
