A leading organisation in the South Coast region is seeking an experienced Interim HR Director / Head of HR to lead its People function on a 6-month fixed-term basis. This is a critical leadership role with responsibility for delivering both strategic direction and operational excellence across HR, Payroll & Pensions, and Recruitment.
- Provide strategic leadership across HR Business Partnering, Recruitment, Payroll & Pensions
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Oversee complex employee relations and case management activity
- Drive improvements in recruitment outcomes, including time-to-hire, candidate quality, and retention
- Lead workforce planning, HR reporting, and data-driven decision-making
- Strengthen employer brand and enhance attraction strategies
Proven experience operating at HR Director / Head of HR level. Strong expertise in HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, and Industrial Relations, including unions. Experience leading multidisciplinary HR functions. Ability to influence and challenge at Executive / Senior Leadership level. Strong track record of delivering transformation and service improvement. Data-driven with experience of HR systems and analytics. Experience of leading HR teams across disciplines of HR, ER, Recruitment, Payroll.
The initial contract is a 6-month fixed term.
