Our client are a specialist facilities service provider who deliver services to a commercial portfolio spanning the UK. They are hiring an Asset CAFM Manager to join their team on a permanent basis to support the delivery of effective asset maintenance regarding compliance and audit for a large public sector site.
Your new role
As Asset CAFM manager you will work as part of the FM Compliance team to support the delivery of effective maintenance and facilities services to a broad range of assets for a large, specialist public sector site. You will be responsible for the oversight and integrity of the entire asset and PPM database. You will manage the input, update, and accuracy of asset information, ensuring all new and existing assets are correctly logged, maintained, and associated with the appropriate SFG20 task schedules. You\'ll lead the onboarding and offboarding of assets, tracking their lifecycle stages and managing changes through a formal and auditable process. Key duties will include:
Working closely with both internal stakeholders and subcontractors, you\'ll ensure the asset database is kept current and compliant with contractual, technical, and legislative standards. You\'ll provide operational teams with 52-week planners to support future works planning and deliver accurate end-of-month data for reporting to the client. Your role will also support the Compliance Manager in processing and adjusting database information in line with regulatory updates or contract changes.
Your responsibilities will extend to supporting the creation and ongoing development of the Forward Additional Services Plan (FASP). This will involve condition surveys, asset lifecycle tracking, and contributing insight to long-term planning. You\'ll be instrumental in identifying and managing asset defects, validating service history and maintenance records, and mitigating asset-related risks across the contract.
Regular coordination with both clients and contractors will ensure the accuracy and completeness of asset data. You\'ll maintain structured, accessible documentation that supports audit trails and informs strategic decisions across the estate.
What you\'ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will require relevant experience and knowledge in the use of CAFM systems and other data to ensure the accuracy and consistency of asset and maintenance data to support the effective delivery of FM maintenance services to a large, complex estate. You will require in-depth knowledge of asset management principles, statutory and mandatory maintenance requirements, and demonstrate experience working with CAFM systems-particularly Maximo. A hard FM technical background is desirable, as is a solid understanding of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
